Real Experience Using Real Plans - Meal Planner
Application Scenarios
As someone who juggles work, family, and personal time, I found myself overwhelmed with the daily question of "What's for dinner?" That's when I discovered Real Plans - Meal Planner. Every Sunday, I sit down with my family and browse through the app's extensive recipe database. Each member picks their favorite meals for the week, accommodating various dietary needs. It has not only made dinner planning a collaborative effort but has also introduced my kids to new cuisines.
During busy weekdays, I love how the grocery list feature allows me to shop quickly. I simply pull up the list on my phone while navigating the aisles, ensuring I don't forget any ingredients. Additionally, on days when I want to try something new, I can experiment with random recipes from the app, making cooking feel like an adventure rather than a chore.
User Experience
The user interface of Real Plans is intuitive and visually appealing. The layout is clean, and navigating through the app feels seamless. When I first opened it, I was greeted by a beautiful dashboard that highlighted my upcoming meals and grocery list. The workflow for creating meal plans is straightforward; I can easily drag and drop recipes into my calendar.
One of my favorite aspects is the meal prep timer feature. It allows me to set reminders for each step of a recipe, which is especially helpful for complex dishes. I’ve experienced minimal lag, and the app runs smoothly without crashing, even when I’m multitasking with other apps. Overall, using Real Plans has transformed my cooking experience from chaotic to enjoyable.
Pricing
Real Plans - Meal Planner offers a subscription model, which starts at a reasonable monthly fee. For those who are serious about meal planning, I found that the annual plan provides significant savings. The subscription grants access to the entire recipe database and all premium features, making it a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to streamline their meal prep process.

The developers of Real Plans are committed to improving the user experience. They regularly roll out updates, introducing new recipes and features based on user feedback. Customer support is responsive; I reached out once with a question about a feature, and I received a helpful reply within 24 hours. Their dedication to user satisfaction is evident, which makes me feel valued as a customer.
Security & Privacy Review
As an American user, I always prioritize security and privacy when using apps. Real Plans - Meal Planner is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring it meets standard security protocols. When registering for the app, I was required to provide minimal personal information, which I appreciated. The app does not bombard users with ads, and I noticed no invasive tracking behaviors, allowing me to use it without feeling like my data was being exploited.
The developers have implemented measures to protect user data, and I feel confident that my information is safe. Overall, Real Plans respects user privacy while delivering a valuable service that enhances my meal planning experience.

4 1/2 stars. Been using Real Plans since they started. I love this app! I still love the app but the mobile portion has become glitchy with updates. it's near impossible to add, move, or delete recipes on your phone. I can change my plans based on how many people I'm feeding. It's worth the yearly subscription for those alone BUT the money shot is the list is arranged like your local store.

This app has been frustrating. It does not consider item usage when planning your meals. So you may have to buy a bunch of spinach and only use a portion for one recipe. It would be more cost-effective and reduce food waste if the app would suggest another recipe with spinach for later in the week. I spent so much money the first week and had so many partial food items left over. I felt it was not a helpful app, so I cancled it with 3 weeks paid for remaining, but now the app doesn't work at all

Great menu building and shopping list creating app. Choose any dietary restrictions, or menu styles (Paleo, whole30, gluten/ dairy free). Build out your menu for the week and it automatically builds your shopping list, down to the spices. It's fairly easy to import your favorite recipes from across the web and adjust the shipping list to suit your needs. It's a little clunky to move menu items between days in the menu, but that's the only real issue I've had since figuring the app out.

We've been using this for about 7 years and love it. It's perfect for anyone on a special diet. The recipes can occasionally be inaccurate or a pain but everything is easy to modify to our taste. We've been able to add our own recipes and ones we've found as well. It's handy that I can change the servings of things on the menu to account for who's home what nights. Hubby loves that it automatically generates a shopping list from the menu that you can add and remove from. Love it!

I love the platform on the computer, but the app is terrible!! You can't even see what's on next week's plan that you just planned over the computer. It won't show you on the app. That's a problem if I'm at the store and realized I want to change things up. It also is not streamlined with the grocery list and pantry it seems. Sad, I was looking forward to a seamless process.
