  The scooters are fine, but the rider score system is abysmal. There's no way to appeal a bad score, which the app will give you occasionally despite doing everything correctly. I ride exclusively on the road and in bike lanes like I'm required to, and it still penalizes me for going into restricted zones that are beside the road. I'm considering switching back to Lime specifically because there's no way to appeal a bad review.

  App needs A LOT of work. Myself along with two friends, all on different phones, had multiple issues trying to end our rides. I also had issues unlocking. The app appeared to be stuck in scanning the qr code then 15-20 seconds later, it went to the screen saying that I'm 30+ seconds into my ride. Seems like an easy scam to gain a few extra minutes from riders. Other than that, it was pretty fun. Don't think I'll be shelling out $50 to ride an electric scooter again any time soon though.

  Honestly, the experience was fun. However, being a first time user I was mislead on how much the cost would be. I had a group of 3 and the final cost ended up being $87 for 60 minutes. I originally saw some prices for $10/person for 60 minutes pop up while registering. There is no confirmation before you go how much it could cost you, so please be careful if you register as a group. I will most likely not use Spin again.

  The scooters are too light weight, jerky acceleration because of the weight, and all back wheel propelled making wheelies easy and unintentional. The app isn't very intuitive and is outright more expensive than local competitor Lime Scooter. With the new parking AI photo review issues that can't be disputed, I normally walk several blocks to find a competitor as opposed to using a closer option from Spin. Every time I break this convention, I'm disappointed.

  Would never recommend using even if you were going to be late to something. The risk for it not letting you END YOUR RIDE is insanity. I went to two separate parking zones and it still refused and charged me the entire time. They offerred chargeback but it was only half of what I lost in total. This is what I get for giving spin one more chance from a previous disaster I had with this service more than a year ago. With the similar issue with ending my ride. Never again and would never recommend.
