One such app is Alaska Airlines' official app. Launched in 2016, this app has made it easier for travelers to access their flights and bookings on the go. In this blog post, we'll review some of the features and benefits of using Alaska Airlines' mobile app and how it can help simplify your travel experience.
Features & Highlights
Real Experience Using Alaska Airlines
Application Scenarios
As someone who travels frequently for both work and leisure, the Alaska Airlines app has become an integral part of my journey preparation. Just the other week, I had to book a flight to attend a crucial business meeting in Portland. I was busy with back-to-back meetings, so I appreciated being able to open the app and book my flight while waiting for a presentation to start. It was so convenient to have everything at my fingertips! On another occasion, I was visiting family in California and used the app to not only book my flight but also manage changes when my plans shifted unexpectedly.
User Experience
Navigating the Alaska Airlines app is a breeze. The user interface is clean and well-organized, making it easy to find what you need without unnecessary scrolling or searching. I love how the layout is intuitive; for example, the booking process is streamlined, allowing me to input my travel details quickly. The performance is impressive, with quick loading times and responsive interactions. I’ve never experienced crashes or glitches, which adds to my overall satisfaction. Each time I use the app, I feel confident that I have all the flight information I need at my fingertips, which alleviates much of the stress that comes with travel.
Pricing
In terms of pricing, the Alaska Airlines app offers competitive rates, especially for those who are part of their Mileage Plan. I often find that booking through the app gives me access to exclusive deals that aren’t available on other platforms. Plus, the convenience of managing my flights and rewards in one place makes the app worth it. I appreciate that I can see the total cost upfront, including any additional fees, which helps me stay within my travel budget.
Updates & Support
The Alaska Airlines app is frequently updated with new features and improvements, which shows a commitment to enhancing user experience. I’ve noticed recent updates have improved the check-in process, making it even smoother. Support is readily available through the app, with options for live chat, FAQs, and contact details for customer service. I once had a question regarding my mileage redemption, and the support team responded promptly, which left me feeling valued as a customer.
Security & Privacy Review
When it comes to security and privacy, the Alaska Airlines app takes measures to protect your personal information. Downloading the app from official sources like the App Store or Google Play ensures that you have the most secure version. Upon registration, I had to provide some personal details, including my name, email, and phone number, which is standard for travel apps. I appreciate that they are transparent about how my data will be used and stored.
As for ads and tracking behavior, I noticed some personalized ads based on my travel history. However, the app allows you to manage your tracking preferences, giving you control over your data. Overall, I feel comfortable using the app, knowing that my information is handled with care and security protocols are in place to protect my privacy.

As many people have mentioned the account button doesn't work anymore and keeps you in a perpetual loop. this only happened after the Atmos fix, and no one at Alaska seems to be acknowledging or working on the issue as it's been ongoing for months. Update: Saving card information in the app to preorder food is also completely broken. Useless app support from Alaska Airlines.

Worst app ever, currently. When I first downloaded it and signed up it worked just fine. Just like it was supposed to. Now, I cannot log in. All it does is make me click on photos of motorcycles, cars, crosswalks over and over and over again. It will not let me log in. This is a huge waste of time and completely pointless! It needs to be fixed right now

The app is fine for booking, managing trips and seeing my account status. Everything is pretty much easy to find and more intuitive than the older versions. My dings on the rating and biggest complaints: logs me out frequently and there is NO biometric login option. Pain in the you no what if this happens and you're in a position to need to get your information, make changes, etc quickly and you have to stop and log back in with a sign-in credentials. Come on Alaska - you can do better!

I had trouble paying for my checked bag. Google Pay couldn't auto populate the credit card fields and I had to go look things up - I manually entered the expiration date, it demanded that I delete one character of the auto-filled cvv and retype it & then the transaction failed. I repeated the same steps and it succeeded. Something buggy in the payment integration. A waste of time. Fine otherwise.

My favorite airline. Great customer service, good prices and clean planes. The essentials. As for the App itself, downgraded from 5 stars to 1. ever since the merger, the apo fails to load and let you in. Now (if it works), it redirects you to a webpage and makes you login every time, instead of just working. absolute trash and has been. that way for about a year now. unacceptable downgrade.
