The audiobooks are very reasonable and the sound quality and features are just as good as Audible by Amazon. I've been using Chirp Audiobooks for 5 years now. I've bought over 1000 audiobooks from them. However, I want to say that the app is not very user friendly. It takes a long time to load the audiobook before you can listen to it. Update: This App is Perfect Now. No more problems with loading. Yay 😊

Just finished my first audiobook! I love that the prices are so reasonable, and it has a simple interface. I like how customizable the listening speed is. I did notice a glitch, when switching to car mode, the play/pause isn't tappable until I restart the app. Other than that, no complaints! Looking forward to future listens on this app.

I just joined, and purchased my first book for a great deal! It was the last book of a trilogy I was reading. I got the first 2 softbound books for Christmas. The third was released but only in hardbound (and I need them all to match!). It won't be available till November, and I can't wait that long! I listened to the book on my commute back and forth to work, and really enjoyed it! The narrator was great! She did voices for all the characters, and made it interesting. I will be buying more!

Chirp was a lifesaver when I was injured and couldn't use a book. Great narrators and authors. Best fee-based audio source ever for this Android user (Motorola). No ads, no interruptions, no monthly fees or limits. You buy the books. Something is always on sale for 1 to 10 dollars. Regular prices are around $22. They don't have everything but they do have a big range of modern authors. You can download the audiobooks or stream them from the app or website.

It really drives me crazy when the book has to be downloaded several times because of "and error on the page", or when the pause between chapters seems five minutes long. Its probably only three minutes, but that's still too long! I'm really torn-I really wish you worked better and smoother Chirp, so I could drop Audible 😢
