The current state of the workforce is changing faster than ever before. With more and more people working remotely, the traditional 9-to-5 workday is becoming a thing of the past. This has given rise to new types of work environments, as well as new ways to interact with employees. One such way is through mobile apps. Workday provides an app that helps employees manage their work schedules, communicate with coworkers, and track their progress. It's an essential tool for any modern workplace, and it can make your employees more efficient and productive. If you're looking for a mobile app that can help your business improve its operations, Workday is a great option to consider.
Features & Highlights
Workday is a powerful tool designed to streamline HR, finance, and planning processes within organizations. Here are some of its core features that truly stand out:
Real Experience Using Workday
Application Scenarios
As someone who manages a team of professionals, I rely on Workday daily to keep everything organized. One of the most common scenarios is during performance review time. The app allows me to set goals for each team member and track their progress throughout the year. It also facilitates feedback collection from peers, making the review process more holistic and fair.
Another scenario where Workday shines is in managing employee benefits. When my team members have questions about their health coverage or retirement options, I can easily access this information through the app, ensuring that I provide accurate answers quickly. This has greatly enhanced communication and trust within my team.
User Experience
The user interface of Workday is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon logging in, I'm greeted with a clean dashboard that displays important updates and tasks. The navigation is straightforward, making it easy to access various features without feeling overwhelmed. I particularly appreciate how the app's workflow guides users through processes, like submitting expense reports or requesting time off, with prompts that minimize confusion.
In terms of performance, I’ve experienced minimal lag, even during peak usage times. The mobile app mirrors the desktop experience well, allowing me to manage tasks seamlessly, whether I’m at my desk or on the go. Overall, using Workday feels efficient and empowering, enhancing my productivity as a manager.
Pricing
Workday operates on a subscription-based pricing model, which can vary significantly depending on the size of the organization and the specific modules chosen. While I can't disclose exact figures, it’s important to note that many companies find the investment worthwhile, especially when considering the savings from improved efficiency and streamlined processes. Additionally, the return on investment from improved employee satisfaction and retention can be substantial.
Updates & Support
Workday provides regular updates, ensuring that users benefit from the latest features and security enhancements. I’ve seen the app evolve with new functionalities that address user feedback and industry trends. Their customer support is also commendable; I've reached out for help a couple of times, and the response was prompt and helpful. It’s reassuring to know there’s assistance available when navigating complex issues.
Security & Privacy Review
As an American user, security and privacy are top priorities for me when using any app, especially one that handles sensitive information like Workday. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During registration, I was required to provide essential personal data, including my work email and some basic identification, which felt standard and secure.
Importantly, Workday has a strong stance against ads and tracking behavior. I appreciate that they focus on user experience without bombarding me with advertisements. The app also offers transparency regarding data usage, reassuring me that my information is handled with care. Overall, I feel secure using Workday, knowing that my personal and professional data is protected.

Terrible app. It never successfully saves my password, so I need to enter it every time. "Stay signed in" literally does nothing. My latest issue is the fact that it constantly asks me to verify my identity via a text message, but I never receive the actual text. Not being able to review my pay stub on payday is a critical flaw.

This app is worse than useless as it takes up memory storage on your device. Navigation is a joke, it is a maze of useless options and menus. I imagIne all this information is there, somewhere, but it is buried deep. The easy menus are all the ones for you to comply with managerial tasks your team leaders have you do. Waste of storage to keep and bandwidth to download.

edit: they added a feature that is supposed to remember your login, and get you in faster... THE FEATURE DOESNT WORK! on top of that annoyance, it sends you an email every time you log in, which for me is 4 times a day! this app is like a social experiment for rage! it takes upto 4 minutes to log in every single time. the amount of buttons and screens I have to get through to log in is absurd. they just added another button by picking a phone text verification, okta, etc. so frustrating

The most recent update no longer lets me edit my time the way it used to. I used to select the "you have unsubmitted time" and select a day to edit and review, but the most recent update has made it so I can no longer scroll down after selecting a day. I can edit the time slots that I see, but can't review or edit anything that needs scrolling down like I used to, meaning that now I have to go to the website whenever I review and submit my time. Hope this gets fixed, as the app isn't useful now.

Super frustrating... no matter how many times you click "remember me" it never does. And no matter how many times you set Biometrics so that you can use your fingerprint to login, it forgets it every time. It makes you reset your password way too often... who is going to try to get into my account and clock in and out for me? No one... and there's so many connection issues with it. This app sucks and I wouldn't use it if my job didn't make me.
