Music Choice is an American company that provides commercial-free music and video streaming services. It was founded in 1986 and is headquartered in New York City. The company offers two tiers of service: a free, ad-supported tier and a paid, ad-free tier. Music Choice has over 75 million subscribers worldwide.
The company was founded by CEO David Del Vecchio and President Dave Schulhof. The two had previously worked together at Warner-Amex Satellite Entertainment, where they helped launch MTV. Del Vecchio and Schulhof saw an opportunity to create a similar service for the burgeoning cable television industry.
Music Choice began as a cable television channel before expanding into digital streaming services. The company offers a wide variety of genres, including pop, rock, hip hop, R&B, country, jazz, classical, and dance. Music Choice also offers themed channels, such as "80s Hits" and "Christmas Music." In addition to music streaming, the company also offers video on demand and live concerts.
Music Choice is available in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Italy, Spain, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.
Features & Highlights
Real Experience Using Music Choice
Application Scenarios
As someone who has a hectic daily routine, I find myself reaching for the Music Choice app in various scenarios. One of my favorite times to use it is while cooking dinner. The app’s 'Dinner Party' channel is perfect for setting a lively atmosphere, making the kitchen feel more like a social hub than just a cooking zone. Additionally, I often use the app during my morning workouts; the 'Upbeat Hits' channel keeps my energy levels high and motivates me to push through those last few reps. Whether I’m working from home or relaxing on the couch, Music Choice has become my go-to for every situation.
User Experience
The user interface of the Music Choice app is both intuitive and visually appealing, making it easy to navigate through the vast library. I appreciate how quickly I can search for specific songs or artists; the app’s search function is responsive and delivers accurate results almost instantly. The feature workflow is seamless; adding a song to a playlist takes just a tap, allowing me to curate my music without any fuss. Performance-wise, I’ve encountered minimal buffering, even in areas with spotty Wi-Fi, which speaks volumes about the app's reliability. Overall, my experience with Music Choice has been overwhelmingly positive, as it effortlessly enhances my daily activities with the perfect soundtrack.
Pricing
Music Choice offers a free version with ads, but for an uninterrupted experience, I opted for the premium plan. The monthly subscription fee is quite reasonable, especially considering the extensive library and additional features like offline listening. I feel that the investment is worth it, given how much I use the app daily. The premium version truly elevates the experience, allowing me to enjoy music without any interruptions.
Updates & Support
I’ve been impressed with the regular updates that Music Choice rolls out, often introducing new features and channels that keep the experience fresh and exciting. Whenever I’ve had questions or faced minor issues, the customer support has been responsive and helpful. I once had a query about a billing issue, and their support team resolved it within a day, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, the commitment to improving the app and providing support is commendable.
Security & Privacy Review
When it comes to security and privacy, Music Choice takes several steps to protect its users. The app is available through official app stores, ensuring that it meets essential safety standards before reaching its audience. Registration requires minimal personal information, which is a relief; I only needed to provide my email and create a password, making the onboarding process quick and easy.
The app does feature ads, especially in the free version, but I’ve noticed that they are generally unobtrusive. While using the app, I’ve not come across any invasive tracking behavior, and I appreciate that my listening habits aren’t sold to third-party advertisers. Overall, I feel secure using Music Choice, knowing that my personal data is handled with care and that my privacy is respected.
music to fit any mood and reminisce. Great background for reading or working, or just relaxing.
I just found this I can save a lot of money about to cancel out YouTube
I really wanted to enjoy the app because it advertised no ads which is great, but the app is very glitchy. The music constantly stops playing and I have to keep restarting the app. The problem is consistent across all channels I play. Thankfully I was on a trial when I realized how bad it is.
No Music! I asked multiple times for multiple genre's ... I only get a black screen, no music! LAME!
