"Dice Lords" is an immersive tabletop RPG app that brings the thrill of dice rolling and strategic gameplay to your fingertips. Create your unique character, embark on epic quests, and engage in thrilling battles with friends or solo. With customizable dice, rich storytelling, and a vibrant community, "Dice Lords" transforms your gaming experience into a dynamic adventure. Unleash your inner hero and roll your way to glory!

Features & Highlights

  • Customizable Dice Rolls: Dice Lords allows users to create and customize their own dice sets, enhancing the gameplay experience. For instance, if I’m playing a role-playing game that requires unique dice, I can easily design a set with specific colors and symbols that reflect my character’s theme.
  • Multiplayer Functionality: This feature enables friends to join in on the fun, no matter where they are. I recently hosted a game night via video call and used Dice Lords to roll dice together, making it feel as if we were all at the same table, even though we were miles apart.
  • Realistic Physics Engine: The app utilizes a sophisticated physics engine, providing a realistic rolling experience. I often find myself entranced by the way the dice tumble and bounce, which adds an extra layer of excitement to pivotal game moments.
  • Integrated Game Rules: Dice Lords comes equipped with various game rules for popular tabletop games. The last time I played Dungeons & Dragons, I found it incredibly convenient to refer to the rules directly within the app, allowing for quick reference without flipping through a manual.
  • Stat Tracking: This feature helps keep track of rolls and statistics over time. After a long campaign, I could look back at my character’s roll history, analyzing where I excelled and where I could improve, adding a strategic layer to my gameplay.

Real Experience Using Dice Lords

Application Scenarios

My journey with the Dice Lords app began during my weekly game nights with friends. We often play various tabletop games, and the need for a reliable digital dice roller became evident. Initially, I used the app primarily for Dungeons & Dragons sessions, where rolling multiple dice at once is commonplace. However, as time passed, I started using it for other games, like Pathfinder and even board games that require dice rolls. One weekend, we decided to play a spontaneous game of Catan, and the app allowed us to simulate the dice rolls without needing physical dice. It was a game-changer!

User Experience

The user interface of Dice Lords is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that made navigation a breeze. The main dashboard displays all my custom dice sets prominently, and creating a new set is straightforward, with a simple tap-and-select interface for colors and symbols. The performance is smooth; I’ve never experienced lag or glitches, even when rolling multiple dice simultaneously. I appreciate how the app seamlessly integrates with the game rules, allowing me to reference them without leaving the rolling screen, making for a fluid gameplay experience. Overall, using Dice Lords feels like having a personal dice assistant that enhances my tabletop gaming sessions.

Pricing

Dice Lords offers a free version that provides access to all the core functionalities, making it accessible for casual users. However, for those who want to unlock premium features, such as additional customization options and exclusive game rules, there is a one-time purchase option. I found the pricing to be reasonable considering the value it adds to my gaming experience, especially during group sessions.

Updates & Support

The developers of Dice Lords are proactive in rolling out updates, addressing bugs, and adding new features based on user feedback. I recently reached out to their support team regarding a minor issue with my custom dice not saving correctly. To my surprise, they responded within hours with a solution and a follow-up update, which showcased their commitment to user satisfaction. It’s comforting to know that the app is continuously improving and that user feedback is valued.

Security & Privacy Review

As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and Dice Lords does not disappoint. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which assures me of its legitimacy and adherence to platform regulations. Registration requires minimal personal data, primarily an email address for account creation, which is a relief compared to other apps that ask for excessive personal information.

Moreover, Dice Lords has a clear privacy policy detailing how user data is handled and emphasizes that they do not sell personal information to third parties. The app does contain ads, but they are unobtrusive and do not interfere with gameplay. Additionally, I have not noticed any tracking behavior that would compromise my privacy while using the app. Overall, I feel secure using Dice Lords, knowing that my personal information is protected and that my gaming experience is not being compromised by unwanted tracking.

it's decently fun but I keep soft locking myself on accident. It let's you buy "charms" before it actually plays the "tutorial" where it makes you buy a charm. if you have already purchased charms for all 3 slots it won't let you replace any of them with the newest purchased one and since you havent fully completed the tutorial without placing the charm it won't let you continue out of the shop. the only way I've found to "fix" it is to completely end the run and restart

Fun game. However, there are multiple times I will have plenty of the green dice to buy spheres. Yet the game will not let me take them. does not happen every time. But, when it does? I usually would have had a massive advantage. Restart the game? Nada. The coins to upgrade? Hard to get even a fraction of the amount needed to upgrade. Very unbalanced. I dont recommend if you enjoy logic.

I truly enjoy the game, enough to actually purchase the no mandatory ads. however one mechanic that is fully unclear to me is "star challenges" would be, as far as unlocking the last favorite charm slot. as far as I know, I have everything unlocked progression wise, all charms, all dice... if you could clarify, I would be more than happy to adjust my rating accordingly.

This game seems fun and has potential, but it is obnoxiously and excessively heavy with ads. You can be in the middle of a game, and then an ad pops up. Even more annoying is the ad will most likely kick you out of the game, making you have to redo that level. Funny thing is, they try to get you to write a review before they start shoving the ads in your face. I do not see myself playing this game for much longer, which is too bad, because it does seem fun and unique.

The game itself is really pretty good, like Balatro meets Yahtzee, but a normal RPG not a roguelike. The revenue model makes it frustrating, though - you can either watch a thousand ads or ALL your long term progression is halved, plus watching ads during a run to get advantages. It's too much, especially when you add in the mandatory ads. Whatever they're using to serve ads also uses incredibly small buttons so you have to click the close button 5 times to hit it
